I received bad chicken. This was my second attempt shopping here for meat as they have a huge selection. But, it’s my second time receiving bad meat. The catfish was spoiled last year. I was told to return it no problem. Today it was the chicken in pack which I get all the time from a competitor store. No problem. I called to let the store know and spoke with the owner. SMH. Before even apologizing he was an aggressive and rude as if I’m the problem because as he stated this doesn’t happen at his store. But it had happened prior and I went on to express my concern about it and was challenged because he did not want to hear nor really believe it. He did believe this incident and offered a refund after a bunch of questions and then a lose apology after all of this. Hence why I’m writing a bad review. If you not willing to listen to your customers before rudely talking over them because you tell them oh well we have received rewards etc. but I’m here with proof of spoiled chicken. I also mentioned how the seafood market has an order. It’s much milder since I last visited last year. But he didn’t want to hear it. Began to talk more loudly over me so I said write a review and hung up. H

Nobody has skirt steaks as often as they do. Nobody bakes bread fresh as often as they do. They've got great cheese, a mile long deli counter, amongst the best produce in Livonia, and fresh juices that taste better than twice what they cost. Sucks that you have to stand in line and pay at three different checkouts, but on a perfect summer day it can give a sort of farmers market feel. πŸ’―

Went there recently for oysters (fresh, in-shell). While I thought I knew all I needed to about picking out good (live) ones, a staffer there taught me a new trick to making the right choices. I truly appreciated that for two reasons. The oysters this guy plucked from the ice for me were stellar, first and foremost. But also, he served me up a friendly reminder that there's always more to learn in life. Thanks to the service there, I walked out of Joe's more savvy about seafood. It proved an exercise in getting more than I paid for. Great product. Great people standing behind it. I'm grateful.

Quality of everything, good. Charging 3x the amount isn't worth their meat prices. No matter how you cut the meat or what sauce you throw on it. I hope meijer aggressively competes. [If Joe's was smart, they would partner with meijer because they know meijer won't provide certain items, however this partnership would be at no benefit to the consumer].
